Dr. Desalegn Talu is a Consultant Orthopaedic and trauma Surgeon and Assistant Professor at Hawassa University, Ethiopia, appointed since 2023. He is currently working in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery as consultant surgeon.
After completing his residency, his clinical expertise focuses mainly on adult trauma care and managing complex orthopedic trauma. His passion lies in improving access, outcomes and equity in musculoskeletal care in Ethiopia and beyond; in doing so he is inquiring fellowship in advanced trauma and Arthroplasty.
Dr. Desalegn is active member of Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA), Ethiopian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (ESOT) and AO Trauma.
